Because I Thought You Knew

I didn't say 'thank you',
'cause I thought you knew.

I didn't say 'I love you',
'cause I thought you knew.

I didn't say 'I missed you',
'cause I thought you knew.

If I only knew I'd be without you.

I lost my chance to let you know,
I lost my chance to let my feelings show.

My biggest regret, and I've had few,
is not letting my heart communicate to you.

So I say this prayer, with you in mind,
that these simple words to you they will find.

"Thank you GOD, you've blessed me so,
for such a special person my love did grow.
Watch her always while we are apart,
'til that time I can unload my heart."
